Director: Gavin O’Connor
Starring: Joel Edgerton, Tom Hardy, Jennifer Morrison, Nick Nolte

This looks like a pretty cheesy underdog sports movie in the vein of Rocky and more recently The Fighter. This time it’s mixed martial arts instead of boxing, which should provide some interesting fight scenes, but the rest of it looks pretty cliche.

Director: Spencer Susser
Cast: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Devin Brochu, Rainn wilson, Piper Laurie, Natalie Portman

Full of indie quirk which could go either way in it’s feature form, this trailer looks fairly promising. Joseph Gordon-Levitt gets what looks like a plum role and Natalie Portman stars and produces this dramedy. I’m liking the metal angle taken in the preview, it makes a change from most indie soundtracks which can be great, but tend to follow the same folk-pop formula.

How To Live Forever

Director: Mark Wexler

I’m interested in the subject matter of this documentary, which looks at our “ageless society” and the ways different people preserve life and youth. Unfortunately it looks like the presenter/director might let it down. He came across as quite bland and uncharismatic in the trailer. It also looks like it could end up being more of a throwaway TV doc than a meatier, more enlightening feature.
