I’m a massive fan of the Arrow TV show, which is just starting it’s 3rd season and going strong, so reviewing this soundtrack was an exciting opportunity for me to immerse myself in the world of the show while walking around my native Brighton and Hove.
And immerse myself I did. From the opening track “Time to Come Home” which immediately draws you into the world of Starling City, to the edgy, action-tinged stylings of tracks like “City of Heroes/Canary”, “Roy Becomes a Hero” and the pulsing beat of “Tunnel Fight”, the soundtrack really evokes that Superhero Sensation. There are strong character themes here, and a well-rounded, dark comic book feel to the album.
The track titles may not be terribly inspiring, in fact they are all rather “on the nose”, but the soundtrack album to Arrow Season 2 only serves as a reminder of how much I can’t wait to watch Arrow Season 3.
