Trinity CineAsia have offered us 3 Apple TV codes for the forthcoming release of Jackie Chan’s latest film, The Shadow’s Edge, which will also be getting 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray and standard Blu-ray releases from 16th February.

From award-winning writer-director Larry Yang (Ride On, Mountain Cry), Jackie Chan and Leung Ka Fai Tony reunite for the first time in twenty years, following their collaboration on The Myth. Now, the 71-year- old Chan plays a retired police officer, a role that continues his long-standing portrayal of law enforcement figures on screen. The Shadow’s Edge references elements of his Police Story character while offering a contemporary take on the “veteran cop” archetype.
Leung Ka Fai Tony has dominated the screen throughout his varied career. Never repeating the same role twice, he was inspired to step back into portraying a villain in this updated, modernised take on Eye in the Sky. At 67, the four-time Hong Kong Film Awards’ Best Actor winner, who has largely focused on arthouse films, achieves a new breakthrough with this highly demanding role, showing both the psychology and physicality of this elite criminal.
