Nicolas Cage gets a bad rap. Maybe he deserves it to an extent as he has starred in some dreadful films over the last ten years, but people forget he was bloody good back in his day and starred in some fantastic films between the 80s and early 00s. Some of his recent work has been pretty decent too, but often flies under the radar. His Bad Lieutenant reimagining/sequel was way better than anyone expected for instance and he snuck a couple of indie gems in there such as Joe. He’s well overdue a full renaissance though and lets hope some recent titles help make that happen. Recently he cropped up in Mom and Dad which looks like fun and now he’s appearing in the noir-ish thriller Looking Glass which also seems pretty solid.

To celebrate this new wave of Cage, in particular the release of Looking Glass, we’ve got a bundle of four Nicolas Cage films to give away on DVD to one lucky reader. The bundle includes USS Indianapolis Men of Courage, Stolen, Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, and The Wicker Man: Director’s Cut.

Details on how to enter the competition are at the bottom of this page, but in the meantime, here’s some information about Looking Glass:

After losing their daughter to a tragic accident, shattered couple Ray (Nicolas Cage) and Maggie (Robin Tunney) purchase a motel in the middle of nowhere in the hopes of starting a new life. But Ray begins to notice strange goings-on, and starts to piece together the history of a bizarre murder associated with the motel.

Poking around in a basement one day, Ray discovers a crawl space, which leads to a two-way mirror into one of the rooms. As he becomes obsessed with the unusual activities that happen beyond the looking glass, his marriage, sanity and his very life are threatened.

Starring action-legend Nicolas Cage, Robin Tunney (The Craft, Empire Records) and Marc Blucas (Brawl in Cell Block 99). Looking Glass is a new thriller from Tim Hunter (River’s Edge) also a noted television director known for Gotham, American Horror Story and classic era Twin Peaks.
