Publisher Sega has released a further ‘behind the scenes’ trailer for upcoming sci-fi shooter Aliens: Colonial Marines. So far the series of trailers has given us glimpses of the games’ various environments. This new trailer shows of an Alien hive, from concept art to in-game image.
The game, a direct sequel to James Cameron’s 1986 film Aliens, puts players in control of marine Christopher Winter who is dispatched as part of a search and rescue team to investigate the USS Sulaco and Hadleys Hope colony on planet LV426.
So far Colonial Marines has found favour with fans of the Alien series for its faithful recreation of the films’ industrial, brooding atmosphere and the development teams’ attention to detail but little has been seen of the game in action – that should change as we move closer towards its release.
Aliens: Colonial Marines is due for release on XBOX 360 and PlayStation 3 in February, with WiiU owners having to wait a little longer. Developers Gearbox Software have promised the WiiU version will be better looking and will feature the films famous motion tracker in the GamePad touchscreen – so the wait should be worth it.
