Short Films — 01 December 2010
Written by: David Brook
To kickstart our new Short Film Showcase page (which can usually be found under the ‘Videos’ tab at the top of the page) I thought I’d let viewers watch Blueprint: Film’s first short, Link (cheeky self-promotion I know). Directed by Darren Bolton, Link was his debut short film back in 2004 after initially working in theatre. Shot with next to no budget, the film is a visual poem which tells a dark fairytale of broken love. All but one small piece of Link’s heart has been taken away by all the girls he’s loved. He realises that he can’t let another girl take the last piece and knows he will have to spend the rest of his life alone.
